( He concedes to the point with a little sway — yeah, fair enough. Ever since fake-Lucifer jumped out of Sam and into his meats, all bets have been kind of off.

Still a total badass, though. Practically five dudes hiding in that trench coat when it comes to sheer hunting power.

Not a demon. ( He confirms. ) Not exactly human, either. Apparently, a bunch of wizards pumped him full of magic super-soldier hunter juice. That's, like, his thing.

( They pass through city gates, toward the stables where Karen is kept. Cas gets the nod to dismount, and Dean follows right after. Taking the saddle off, checking her feed bag and water trough, giving her a quick brush, all of these things are automatic and methodical. Ingrained habit, one of the care-taking tendencies he has coming out without his even noticing. Probably the only reason Karen tolerates him a little, given their rapport otherwise.

He absently ropes Cas into helping as he goes — handing him the saddle in the middle of the sentence without so much as a blink, tossing him a brush accompanied by exactly 0 instructions.

Also- dude, hand to god, you know who else we got running around here? ( Hypothetical question, he carries on without expectation for an answer. ) Stay with me on this because I'm not kidding: freaking Avengers. Actual, straight up, Robert Downey Jr. avengers. Freaking Iron Man.

( He is tragically unaware Tony Stark has left the universe yet considering they've only had the one conversation and the dude's in a different city altogether. )
