Character Name: Goro Arcana: The Chariot Arcana Form: Mutable
What memories will your character share? Goro has a few memories I can use for this:
Enter Goro-Over five centuries in the past, Goro has been scouted by the sorcerer Shang Tsung who brings him before Outworld's Emperor, the conquerer Shao Kahn, to present his plan to win the tournament and begin the merging and conquest of Earthrealm by making Goro the Grand Champion, but Goro has demands of his own first.
Goro Triumphant-At the height of the next Great Tournament, Goro fights the reigning Grand Champion, a humble Shaolin monk named Kung Lao, and defeats and kills him, taking the title for his own. Meanwhile Shang Tsung has usurped the role of Tournament Master and thus tips the favour of the Tournament heavily in Outworld's favour.
Goro Defeated-At the climax of the tenth Tournament, in what should be his moment of glory as he achieves the last necessary victory for Outworld, Goro is instead defeated in battle by another Shaolin monk, Liu Kang, who becomes Grand Champion and Protector of Earthrealm...for a time, at least.
Goro Humbled-In the aftermath of his loss, Goro is brought to task by an angry Shao Kahn, who presses the Shokan prince into service as he enacts his plan to begin a second, winner-takes-all tournament in Outworld. Humiliatingly, Goro is made to guard the palace while Shao Kahn's bodyguard—another Shokan of the commoner Tigrar strain named Kintaro—is selected to serve as Outworld's Champion in this second tournament.
Goro Rebels-A memory of three parts that can be viewed together, or individually. More recently, in the years immediately after the death of Shao Kahn, Outworld's new Emperor, Kotal Kahn, seeks to secure his throne by ending a rebellion instigated by the predecessor he overthrew, Shao Kahn's "daughter" Mileena, who has allied with a rogue general named Reiko and the Tarkatan Horde to oppose Kotal. Goro is sent to quell the rebellion, gathering strength in Outworld's deserts, but when he arrives he is instead convinced to join the rebellion instead of destroying it. Kotal sends another veteran warrior, his own father Kotal K'etz, to punish Goro for his treachery, but instead the Osh-Tekk warrior is killed in battle by the Shokan prince. This event happened almost immediately prior to Goro's summoning.
Are you open to having your character experience others' memories? If anyone can stand having Goro around, then yes! Goro would prefer scenes of battle, or war. Traumatic memories may be of interest inasmuch as they give him insight into potential enemies or allies and how he might best use/approach them.
Do you want to memory-walk with someone of a matching Arcana form? Sure!
Is there anything you don't want to interact with? Maybe no memories of family death or suicide, on an OOC level. Right now that's hard for me to deal with.
General Plans: Goro is going to try and retreat to his Horizon before realizing what a terrible idea that was, so I'm open to anyone from the other factions being inflicted upon/having to endure intruders in his own memories. I'm especially open to negative CR getting a look at some of his more formative moments (the death of Kung Lao, his defeat at Liu Kang's hands, and his partaking in the rebellion especially) as a means of getting more ammo to use against him or a greater understanding of him.
