b. haha,,,

[ perhaps a more kindred spirit of sorts should be the merchant's liking? for all that zhongli putters about the training grounds, it seems rather infrequent that he works through forms at all. or, perhaps, he has a tendency to do so when the area is otherwise empty? either way, in breaking off a (very long) conversation about blacksmithing with a what appears to be a (very green) native recruit, it's an inevitability that zhongli finds straying toward the exit. and, in turn, straying toward the individual who has stationed himself in the path he'd typically take.

the lean and greet are all part and parcel of any merchant interaction - he needn't prepare for it. instead, he lifts a hand to his chin and gives the man a nod of recognition. out here, he should wonder if the man would have better luck elsewhere, but zhongli supposes he's technically cornered the stationed summoned and locals.

but, his wares?

if zhongli is skeptical that he'd find a hot market, there is no such indication of it. his expression remains placid, smooth as stone, even as he too leans to get a better look at some of the items the man's placed out on display. ]

Hm. [ it's a absent sound, more for the man's benefit. there's a signaling in that, too, that zhongli is no stranger to this manner of business. he straightens, the dark of his hair spilling over the steady curve of his shoulder. ] A most eclectic collection of curios, boss.

[ as zhongli's eyes flicker to meet his, there is a strange echo in the liner they both seem to wear. ]
