Yes within, Elidibus wavers briefly over the thought of his memories, so preciously regained, would melt away in this Summoning. Yet he seems to become resolute as if accepting the inevitability. Something tremors still underneath it all.
No, not this time. They were his. These mortals were not Lord Zodiark that he would accept that sacrifice so readily and their machinations would not strip them.
It's an unreasoning tremor and so unlike him. And that is part of why he hides it away and focuses on current matters, what's right before him here and now. Even if it means facing the person who seemed to be the source of the disturbance.
Far more prominent players. It was an interesting statement and suggested something more afoot in Solvunn, particularly related to their kin. Contemplation follows the phrasing though in all honesty Elidibus can't bring himself to judge it a fair assumption, given Hythlodaeus seems fond of speaking with an air of mystery.
With an introduction comes the first phase of recognition. While they may never have met directly, the seated Chief of the Bureau of the Architect would have been a name easily remembered for one as diligent as Elidibus.
But it wouldn't explain the familiarity. That comes with the former Chief's next statement. They were one, once. Elidibus stills and closes his eyes once again. There is an air of relaxing, of one mystery solved- why he didn't remember this man exactly despite the familiarity. A voice among many but... someone he'd recognized as if they were a part of his own flesh, despite being all but blind.
Because they were once one and the same.
"...Please do."
Elidibus opens his eyes as he welcomes Hythlodaeus to sit. One wouldn't call his expression welcoming, or happy or gentle. It is perhaps too somber for that. Far too much time has passed by for him to be the enthusiastic, eager soul he'd once been. But there is a sense of relief that touches him soul-deep.
There seems much they can talk about with each other. Far more than Elidibus would have imagined being able to find in Solvunn.
Hang in there, heart. :(
