One minute Istredd is being held by the elves, uncertain where his future may take him but certain of his choice, and the next he is surrounded by water. It doesn't seem impossible the two are connected, but when he is pulled out, he realizes quickly he is not where he belongs. Weakly but curiously, he glances up and around, the trees and stole pillars unknown, but there is no answer he can come up with to where he is. It is not an kingdom he knows of.
The absence of his magic is felt and an ache that is startling, and by instinct, he looks at the man in charge, and is reminded of Stregobor. Istredd shakly gets to his feet, reassured by the statement about his magic, although not entirely buying into anything a stranger has to say quite yet.
As he is walked aside, answers and explanations given on the side, Istredd asks what questions he can with an intense focus. Protesting once that he was in the midst of a discovery, it matters naught, so the truth is accepted quicker than most: this is his reality. For now.
Around the Castle
This location is not ultimately that strange to him, it does remind him of home. They have a different type of grandness, more somber much of the time, but he may as well be back in his tutelage. At first Istredd sits at the bed given to him, musing quietly, curling his thoughts around next steps and what this may mean for his goals back home. He glances up when someone comes in, hesitating only a moment before he smiles thinly and nods his head. "Please feel free to come in, I am still adjusting."
There may be times you see him in the corner of the housing area with a book, fully engrossed in it, barely looking up for what seems like hours. This at least is what he does best. He is a tall man with brown skin and vivid striking blue eyes, the High Priestess symbol on his shirt and a quiet studious air around him. He does not seem disturbed by the situation.
Istredd soon is wandering the palace, learning the layout and the locations of important places. While he seems content to search on his own, peeking his head into every door that he is allowed, if he spots someone else he will nod politely before speaking. "This castle is beautiful, strange as the situation may be." He was not back home for long before running off to his books and dust again, he forgot how soothing it can be.
He does eventually end up at the dining hall and sits a fair distance from others, not out of disrespect, but because he's focused on yet another new book, frowning as he turns the pages. If someone were to join him, Istredd would shut it and glance up, willing to spare some time for another one of the Summoned. He barely looks like he touched his food, another problem when he gets wrapped up in his reading.
"What have you heard about the Singularity?" He asks after a few days, his blue eyes bright. While he may seem quiet, Istredd really is not when it comes to subjects he's interested in, and this seems well worth the interest.
You may find him a few days in testing out his magic, straining in the start and looking dismayed, but then after another few days, a ripple of magical power comes from his hand and knocks a vase that starts to wobble and looks like it could crash. Istredd hurries and manages to catch it just in time before it hits the floor, looking sheepish.
