Clarke backs off almost involuntarily in response to Octavia's reaction; something's off and it hasn't yet clicked because her mind won't accept it. That they could be separated by more than a few miles and doors built to withstand the fire above them. Octavia had stayed behind to lead; who was there now, she wonders absently, trying to make the pieces fit.

"They're not all from our Earth. Or our time, judging by the look of things."

But they'd pulled her and Octavia here, so clearly they could take people from the same time and place. But the way Octavia's looking at her -- something about her overall demeanor. She's different. She's not Skairipa or Osleya right now. She's changed, and the truth is there hammering at Clarke's consciousness before she's willing to accept it aloud.

Finally, cautiously; fearing the answer --

"... how long has it been for you since Praimfaya?"
