Gift is the best way to sum it up, I think. I haven't had a chance to ask many people if - or what - the Singularity might have decided they needed, but I have met a couple people who've had their magic strengthened by it. Or so they've said, and I don't really... have a reason to not believe that.

[ It would be interesting if there's some overlap with Brigid's spirits, he thinks to himself, and then wonders if there's any other cases besides the tales told about what Almyran gods granted to the loyal and brave. Well, that'll have to wait unless he can recreate one of those many books in the Horizon sometime. More importantly, when Petra asks if they need to keep things secret Claude frowns just a bit and shakes his head. ]

No, sorry, I misspoke. I don't know that using the magic would have any negative consequences for us specifically, just that the magic the Free Cities prefers is for what's meant to be practical rather than creating things out of thin air since that's an option here. But I get the feeling that Fodlan magic could potentially make people wary if it was, say, used in front of a large crowd.

[ Though - wait a minute. Claude's eyebrows knit together a little more as he looks at Petra, his mind suddenly processing something else that feels important about what she's said. Maybe it matches to her seeing something happen in Derdriu that he didn't, or maybe it doesn't, but it gives him that same feeling he'd had while being told Derdriu fell all over again. ]

Petra. Are you saying that... Teach was your professor?
