She hates him sometimes. She really does. Wants to kill him nearly as often as she wants to kiss him. But neither of those things will be happening at this table. She'll save it for later. Away from this table, this conversation, this woman. If he asks. Maybe she'll answer. But it's all for later, later, later.

"That isn't what she means, Kaz," Inej scoffs softly at his comment, eyes rolling to the heavens. Were it to mean anything to him at all, she'd explain 'she's like Dean', but that would go nowhere as it is, so she keeps it to herself. Instead, she goes with, "The monsters we deal with are, mostly, people, but it's not like that where she's from. All the cautionary tales parents tell their children about beasts come to steal away bad children and eat their hearts, to keep them in bed at night. They're real."

With that explanation, she glances back at Jo. A silent question with her eyes– how right is she, and how far off-base still, too. She knows she doesn't know it all, doesn't understand it the way Jo does, the way Dean does. Inside-out, upside-down, and backwards. Like blinking and breathing.
