Mod Clarification
Recently it has come to our attention that there has been a miscommunication of our guidance, which has led to some confusion among unaffected players.
In response to a specific incident in which a weapon that is outside the bounds of the game was created, we communicated to clarify that this was beyond the scope of what we would allow and suggested that any weapons or items that may unbalance or otherwise be inappropriate for the game's environment should be passed by us for approval or a discussion of how it may be achieved before it is made. We noted in this communication that simple weapons such as swords are allowed.
We apologize if any aspects of this guidance were lost when communicated to other players within the game. Our intention with this announcement is to make it clear we were addressing a particular occurrence that we felt exceeded reasonable boundaries and that we do not at this time have any concerns with what other players are doing in regards to this matter. We believe most of our players are capable of using their powers and skills appropriately, and trust they can reasonably play with their characters' capabilities while refraining from overstepping, or checking in with us if they are unsure of the scope of what they are doing.
Should we notice any other egregious incidents in the future, we will continue to reach out to the individual(s) involved as needed.
