Lucifer is free to leave. While OOCly you may choose to set this questioning period and his "sentence" at any time that's convenient to you, in-game Lucifer will be required to serve it immediately upon departing.

He may leave his room during this period with permission from a guard outside, if he has a good enough reason and returns afterwards. It will be no different than being grounded.
