Jayce is established now in Cadens so he has hit the point where when he walks through the streets or through the merchant areas, people say hello as he does. It's been a tough month recently but he's trying to focus on what's next instead of dwelling. It seems to be the only way to keep sane. He manages a smile to people as he walks by and waves, but Caitlyn might hear people say Jayce's name before he even comes into view. As a man with his own business, sometimes he pauses to talk about the new metal come to town, but it isn't her voice he hears.

It doesn't matter. Jayce could spot her from a mile away. He would know her in a crowd, a sea of faces, with only her standing out. He is on his way to the academy but halts and forgets about it entirely, turning on his heel and hurrying toward where he saw a blue-haired head.

"Cait!" He shouts out, almost afraid that he'll turn out to be wrong and seem crazy, but the closer he gets, the more distinct the rest of her becomes. He weaves through the crowd and spots her, feeling like his throat is in his stomach. It's really her.

"You're here."
