Caitlyn nods at that, face solemn. "I'm afraid I know exactly how you feel. Until I went to the undercity, I had no idea...." she lets the sentence trail off, because honestly there's a lot to say about that and this probably isn't really the time. Plus, she's still got so much left to process about everything she's experienced recently and she really hasn't had the time to do that.

"Well, that's good then. Because I've got you." It's strange, and she can't really say she fully understands what he means about this Horizon. But that's okay, because what she does understand is that it's fine with someone you trust and she still trusts Jayce. Trusts that he's always trying his best, even if he doesn't always succeed. Trusts that he cares and will certainly do what he can to protect her in what seems like an extremely vulnerable state.

"Curious." Caitlyn can tell that this entire situation isn't going to be something that she's going to fully understand in just a few days let alone from a single conversation. It's definitely something she'll have to put some time into investigating. But maybe... not right this second. For a change.

At his judgement, Caitlyn nods slightly, though the reminder is still a little sore. "Perhaps a little too well." It's still a little hard to believe, but that's partially because of how fresh and recent it still is. How many signs had she missed in the past? How much could she have... no, not the time. Possibly never the time for that, it wouldn't help anything - her navel gazing like that.

The mention of helping in a different way does seem interesting. "A disaster relief group. Hm." Of course, there'd probably be less shooting involved. Which is one of her best skills, but... maybe that's for the best for now. "You're right. Rushing into things isn't a good idea. Not when there's still so much that's unknown."

Any solemnity she's had goes at the window at his admission and she all but jumps from the provided chair, eyes sparkling with excitement. "You and Viktor?" She honestly can't say she'd seen this coming, but it makes a certain amount of sense. The two had become inseparable rather quickly after all. And it was obvious that they both meant a great deal to each other. Actually, maybe it's not a surprise at all.

Beyond her general inexperience with such things.

"Congratulations." The flushed cheeks are... cute and she can't help but lean in, poking at them teasingly before pulling away again. "So how long now?" Inexperienced she might be, but even she knows about the honeymoon phase of a relationship and his happy glow could mean it's still fairly new.
