[ There is a kernel of something hard that Jayce's concern bumps against within Sam, casting off this way and that in unpredictable ways he never quite grows used to. He's ever struggling with being the little brother and it seems like there isn't a place to go where Dean doesn't buy him favors left and right. Jayce doesn't seem standoffish in any manner, but Sam wonders if his hospitality extends further than the connections he keeps. (And, really, would he blame the guy if that wasn't the case?)
He decides it ultimately doesn't matter — he should be so lucky to have anyone on his side — and when the last of his doubts stop rattling around and settle in the back of his mind, he nods. ]

[ As accurately noted, while Sam is taller, broader, (smarter, clearly better looking) and generally quieter than his brother, he isn't lacking in a power all his own. It's the epitome of speak softly and carry a big stick not that the reference probably means anything to this world.
He'll follow the other man looking like a trailing puppy, eager not to fall behind but interested in all that's around them. ]
I have so many questions but I feel like my head's stuffed full. [ A wan smile creeps in and he shrugs at his admission. ] Everyone has something to tell me that they think I should hear. I'm grateful, but...
[ Well, it's a lot. And Sam hates for a second it sounds like a complaint because of how damn fortunate he is to have people waiting for him. Others, he notes to himself, are doing this alone and that seems so much worse. ]
