[ It is actually untrue that Jayce is being friendly solely because of Dean, but it's an easy mistake to make on the other end of it. He's a very warm and friendly person, and if he still lived at the inn that would be obvious to newcomers, but since he and Viktor live in their own place he's not always there to be his extroverted self. It does help him have a point of contact knowing Dean though, and a few details about his life before this to play off of.

Jayce is the sunny side of his particular partnership, so he knows quiet comes with introspection. Not everyone says whatever they think like he sometimes does. ]
