[Lestat isn't the only one who finds the idyllic woods nostalgic. Having been raised in isolated mansion surrounded by a thick forest Edgar can't help but feel the scenery laid before him homely. It's always been in his nature to be dawn towards to wilderness and rural areas rather than the big flashy cities. Something that he's found to become regrettably more rare further the modernization goes. Ah, but you can take boy out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the boy, or how would one say.
Edgar, however, instead of taking a horse had decided to travel by feet. It made him feel far more free, being able to explore the small paths invisible to humans and inaccessible by a horse. It doesn't take a long before he finds himself overcome with sentimentality as he picks flowers and then climbs up to old tree. He settles down on one of the branches and watches as the day slowly turns into a night.
It is then, when she smells it. The scent of strange blood nearby, something that's not clearly a human but not quite like his either. Edgar can't help but wonder if it's one of the local vampires that he's heard of? Or maybe even a werewolf? As exciting the thought of meeting one he knows it's better to be cautious. He stays quiet in the tree, sharp blue eyes staring keenly at the direction where the scent is coming from. He wonders if the tree is enough to give him any coverage in the case the person turns out to be malignant. But what appears from the woods is not a monstrous figure that he had expected. No, instead it is handsome man on a horseback with a brilliant blond hair.
He quietly observes the man, until he is spotted and spoken to]
Yes. Quite. [He responds with calm yet cheerful voice.] Though I must say you're missing out on a greater views being down there.
