Personal connections: Bart is brand new, but he's already made friends with fellow newbie Laura Hawley so I'd love to throw him at anyone else who wants to team up over worries about her safety! He'll also be very vocal about missing folks on the network I think, so we can definitely put together some cross-faction shenanigans that way.

Investigation plans: Bartimaeus is a shapeshifter, so I think his first point of call will be to join the Free Cities' mechanical birds, take to the sky and see if he can spot anything from above. He'll definitely report back to everyone if he notices anything unusual, and will be interested in collating information on those who have been taken to find out if anything was spotted about their abductors. He also has absolutely no qualms whatsoever about putting the screws to suspicious characters, so he'll be all-in on raiding a bandit camp if he spots one, at the very least to see if they know anything. I'd be happy for him to have some back-up on this, or even just an argument about the morals of the "so anyway, I started blasting" method.
General plans: Being annoying and snoopy on other people's posts or at any cross-faction meetings is definitely an option too. He will generally be trying very hard to give off the vibe that he doesn't really care what happens and he's only invested in it to make sure nothing happens to him too, but hidden under that (and not hidden very deeply, tbh) is genuine concern.
