Kyle would be allowed to visit the mountainous area that borders Solvunn. He needs to stay within Thorne's borders, but Thorne's wards outside of their own cities will allow him to use Gray Space to travel short distances and go or down up heights that normally might require some effort climbing. The guard will be less strict of Kyle is traveling with another Summoned as opposed to alone, but there's a sense that any guards who accompany the Summoned know they'll be in deep trouble if they return without their special charges.

As Kyle is walking, a dead bird will fall out of the tree. His travel companion, if they were there for this quest, may recognize it as a flamewing spoonce, found in the forests and mountains around Thorne and seen only in the city during migratory periods at spring. You may decide if it lands at his feet or on his head.

He can stop to examine the bird and the tree it came from, or choose to continue onward. Let us know what he'll be doing should he take a look at the tree or the bird.
