Locals in the Tertiary Settlement observe that there was no overtly suspicious behavior. They did notice that Josselyn was more active in the community before her disappearance. They assumed this behavior started as a result of her being left out of the negotiations, as well as the fishing community's displeasure with her for diverting lumber for new fishing boats to Libertas so no one gave it much thought.

The name Hydnellia is unfamiliar. However, an elderly woman in the Tertiary Settlement will tell the pair that there used to be a family who lived near the Creed family home for many, many years. About less than a year ago, the family abruptly vanished. If asked further, the woman will add that at the time, the family consisted of an ailing grandfather and his two grandchildren, a young woman and a young lad. They'd have been of adult age, but in their youth. The woman was especially close to Josselyn, viewing her as an older sister.
