Researching yields information similar to what Lenore and Kyle would've discovered, which is that a difference exists between a reversed Arcana and the sigil found, which is inverting it. A reversed Arcana simply turns the original design upside down. This would altar the interpretation of a reading or a spell.

In this instance though, core elements of the design has been changed with portions of it inverted while the remainder of the design is right-side up. This suggests a new meaning has been assigned to the sigil altogether.

Scholars of the Arcana can identify the sigil as containing similar elements to the Page of Pentacles. Other than that, they've never seen such an interpretation before. In all representations of the Arcana regardless of artistic liberty, the pentacle in the suit of pentacles is always right-side up. The only time it would be inverted is if the entire card itself is flipped.
