In both areas, Alucard will find a similar rotting smell. It won't be as strong since the areas are in open, but Alucard would be able to detect it. While he won't learn much more about where it came from or what caused it, he can conclude that it's related to the rotting lumber that came in from Solvunn through Josselyn Creed, which could be important.

Researchers will examine the samples, but they may not have results until Week 3 in Part 2. Alucard can follow up then if he wants to see if they found anything.
