Hi! I don't know if this warrants full investigation, but I wanted to follow up on #3, just in case, and especially with the new developments. I'm not sure if this is the third shrine that has the shadowy being and considering it has been looked at, I wanted to know what would happen (or if there's fruitful info) if Louis tried to connect to what it by using his mind empath abilities? Or read its thoughts if it has any/or visually see if it is alive? Would it be possible? Or would it just be a massive headache since it might not be humanoid/it could be a monster creature? He'd assume it is something trapped in there since he'll have the bit of a vision.

Truthfully, in canon he only ever can read human/vampire minds and this would be testing to see if he can with anything beyond to something such as what could be trapped in the shrine.

It would also depend if he attempts this in the same thread or alone at some other time during the end of the week after all the other investigations/maybe before the one Castiel submitted. I'm cool putting it anywhere if it's a go at all.
