◎ Coordinate event plots with the modsIf you have any questions, see the Questions thread on the OOC Plotting Post.
◎ Request a mod dice roll
◎ Submit noticeable actions
◎ Write rapid IC exchanges
◎ Investigate a plot point or track ongoing investigations
Available Forms
For details on each form, see the sections below.
Be sure to reply under your assigned category if applicable.
Be sure to reply under your assigned category if applicable.
Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.
Request here
Notable Actions
Submit notable actions that are likely to gain attention from other players, such as fights or disturbances.
Submit a notable action
IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

@ EVERYONE IN THE PIT; WEEK 1, DAYS 1-4
He positions himself in the center of the large main room, clears his throat, and projects his voice. ]
Hey, everyone, listen up.
[ Maybe not everyone will give him the time of day, but he'll make eye contact with whoever does, glancing around the large space at his fellow captives. ]
If we want to get out of this situation, we need to work together and we need to stay calm. Making sure that everyone has enough to eat and drink to keep their strength up is important. That means finding corn that's not rotten, digging for grubs, or hunting any of the small, edible animals around here and then cooking them. If anyone has the survival skills to do that, then let us know.
Water needs to be rationed out too. No one take more than they need, or we're going to have even bigger problems on our hands.
Focus on what you're good at. If you can fashion weapons for people, do that. If you want to search for any possible ways out, go for it. If you want to try and get answers out of the people that brought us here, I'm not gonna stop you. But let's all stay on the same page and we'll make it out of this.
[ He pauses then, giving a firm nod and then staying silent, opening the floor for anyone else to add their two cents. ]
(( ooc: There's no thread order here, so just go for it! Since people are trickling in over the course of days, he'll do a version of this when there's an influx of more captives (but probably a more abbreviated version over time). Don't think too hard about it. ))
Day 1
I'll help ration the water. I'm good at organizing.
[ It's the best he can offer, since none of this is really his strong suit. ]
(no subject)
Day 4 - Exploring investigations convo
Everyone, we need to organize our search efforts. I've seen people go exploring, what have you found? Does anyone have something important to report on what they've found?
[ooc: feel free to reply to this with things your character has observed through their investigations!]
day 3ish he's tired of this same speech!!!
Great job, hero. Now you've planted two ideas into everyone's head -- to panic, and that we're gonna run outta water real quick. How long you think it'll take the locals to get ready to fight over it? Haven't you ever seen Mad Max?
drive by.

CrossFaction Information Coordination (Week 1-2)
Grateful Sam volunteered his Horizon as a sort of base camp for both patrols and information gathering, Natasha splits her time between there and her own investigations in Thorne. Keeping track of everything that comes up as relevant information from those she talks to: whether that be clues and leads on the disappearances, names of who's gone missing and who's been heard from, and everything in between.
She hopes, with enough of the Summoned contributing, they can cast a wider net and catch details that might otherwise be missed, if not in the right hands.
(ooc note: Consider all information here available to anyone seeking it, unless otherwise specified. Feel free to leave clues, information, missing reports, or anything you feel might be important/relevant. Natasha will be keeping notes and also passing it on to anyone she thinks might best be able to use it. She may also reach out with questions/clarification from others to verify/clarify what comes her way.)

The charm he found in Solvunn's forest burns in his palm as they approach one of the shrines. Now, up close to one, he realizes he's seen the symbol before. Sort of.]
Someone I know's seen this thing before. Showed me it. [He pokes a finger at the black mark painted across it.] Related to a demon.

END OF WEEK 1, LOCATION INFO + PROPOSITIONS - OTA
meeting w/ Queen Ellya
she is not surprised ellya accepts - her outrage at the missing summoned has already made its way through the castle halls. yennefer knows that she will want to do anything to have them returned, and it is with that knowledge that yennefer thinks she may, in fact, be in alignment there. that this won't be a waste of a request, if yennefer is able to get even half of what she is prepared to ask.
for a brief moment, she calms herself right outside the door - knowing that her stresses and worries and the low-grade panic that hasn't quite left her since she received istredd's message. she takes a breath and waits to be called in. ]

@ everyone in the pit; WEEK 2 DAY 2-4
[ Cas announces, standing on a rocky outcropping some moment when the monsters aren’t hovering. He’s wearing a shroud now, tugging up the fabric to display it. ]
It transformed into an armored figure covered in candles, bleeding from the eyes. This cloth was draped over it.
[ this isn’t immediately after it changed - Cas (and probably Istredd) took some time with the shroud, trying out what it’s purpose may be. It doesn’t heal, return any powers, make the effects of the illusions or the ritual any less intense. But he was able to pass right next to several monsters undetected. ]
As far as I can tell, it conceals the wearer from the creatures that hunt us.
It may open some avenues of exploration, perhaps tailing the monsters to see where they originate?

Meeting with Osanna of Ikorr
Before, she'd met with Osanna as a representative of Solvunn. Now, she meets with her as a Summoned concerned for her own. Friends, family...too many gone missing too quickly. It bodes ill for everyone.
The wine bar's atmosphere is indeed less formal than their last official meeting place and, well, even if she's here on actual business she's still going to order a drink...it helps with negotiations, right? Right. But as soon as she sees the woman she's looking for, she greets with a grateful smile. ]
Osanna! Thank you for meeting with me so quickly. I'd been wondering if rumors have already reached Nocwich of what's been happening...

Closed to Quilleth, Sten, and Nadine
Purpose: Jaskier requesting a collaboration of aid for the Lost from Quilleth of Libertas and Sten of the Lunae
THREAD START
[To be honest, Jaskier is not entirely sure what he's after except as much help from every source as he can muster. He has only received scattered, half-illegible messages from Geralt and Ciri, and all that technically tells him is that they are alive, day by day. And day by day, his anxiety launches higher through the roof of their quiet office, with Alucard's anger growing, and Rinwell --
He knows she's afraid. And so is he.
Quilleth and Sten both come to mind as reliable sources of help. Both powerful, leaders of their own people. People he trusts, even as a Summoned.
The casual shirt, wrinkled and rolled up to his arms, displaying the ragged scarring up his left arm shows exactly how little energy he's put into his own appearance at the moment -- which is hardly deliberate, or normal of Jaskier.
He is nervous. In a strange, new way. A way he never is. All these nevers as of late, they keep coming up. Don't they?
So when he squeezes Nadine's hand, waiting for the meeting to begin in an unfamiliar home, it is far too tight. Funny how the last thing on his mind is the possibility of his being assaulted again, or that he should have brought a guard with him. At least Quilleth had such foresight he lacked.]
I can't thank you both enough for coming to meet with me, especially at such short notice. This is an emergency I don't think we had any chance to be prepared for. [He gives Quilleth a glance, then his gaze moves to Sten.] I can fill you in if the people of Nocwich have yet to hear, but there have been reports -- and mountains of evidence -- of a concentrated scheme against both the citizens of Abraxas and we, as you call us, the Summoned, as scores of our number have been spirited away by unknown assailants.
[And what he can offer Sten and Quilleth is a small pile of papers: very precise sketches of the masks he saw from the assailants as they took Ciri away, and the written dialogue -- as little as it was -- he received as they took her away. Small tidbits of information he has been able to collect from Sam's amalgamation of writings, and his own observations. The locations of disappearances, the reach of these people -- every faction, from what he can see -- and possibly their ability to use portals after their victims have been detained.]

@everyone in the pit - week 1, day 3 or 4
It's not advisable to decapitate the ceiling creature.
[ bad stuff comes out. Cas looks back over to Geralt, wincing at the sight of the burns they're matched with now. ouchie. they learned something, but was it worth it? on that note, here's what they've discovered: ]
It can be killed, and we managed to remove some of the claws, but the rest of the carcass dissolves within 2-3 hours. Roughly an hour later, it's back on the cavern ceiling again.
[ as if taunting them from up there. cas briefly wonders if it holds grudges. ]
We don't believe it's truly immortal, but we don't have the time or resources to figure out how to properly execute it. Trapping it more permanently may be the best course of action. But, we'll need something stronger than vines and stones to hold it.

Snagged one a' these.
[He turns it to show the back, which has prongs on it.]
The guy we took it off of didn't have any eyes. They just looked like keyholes.
[Which, you know. Normal. Totally not weird and creepy at all.]
But he seemed kinda' out of it after we grabbed the mask, like he was blind or at least disoriented. Might be worth keeping in mind.

@Pit Team, middle of the week
If you have watched the Acolyte lady that comes with the guard, seen the mushrooms she picks up, and thought it's a good idea to collect some for yourself - don't.
They're not toxic, but they are hallucinogenic. I think that everyone agrees we need more clarity of mind, no less here.
[He lifts two different mushrooms, so that everyone listening could see.]
If you're looking for something to eat. Pick those. Those are perfectly edible. There are other species that are toxic. If you have doubts, come and ask. I'm an alchemist, I might be able to help.
@ EVERYONE IN PIT, WEEK 2 DAY 5ISH
Hello everyone. I'm not the speaker Steve is, so bear with me. I'm Istredd, I've been organizing our rations. This isn't about that. As you know two of the shrines have been opened, or altered, or whatever you want to call it. Castiel and I witnessed the second one ourselves when he broke it open, and the candles were lit.
The acolyte with the strange appearance told me her name was Hydnellia and gave me a charm that I believe can be used on the shrine where the indentation is. She also warned me that the shrines will help but at a cost.
The question is whether or not it is a smart idea to keep opening them. I didn't feel comfortable making this choice for the entire group, and I don't know how many there are or how many charms she has.
The second shrine did give us fire and a shroud Castiel has, but that does not mean it is a safe idea.

@ THE SPARED, WEEK 1
The Council in Solvunn has opened it's borders to Summoned from other nations. I know we're following several leads that are connecting back to the Commune and they seem to be aware of this too. This is probably just temporary but we can use all the help we can get.
You'll need to have an official reference from Thorne or the one of the Free Cities and there will be escorts, but if everything checks out there will be a portal that can take you here.
If there's aught else you need, please let me know. I'll do whatever I can to help make this happen.
For those we have lost and those we can yet save,
