What team or group will you be a part of?: Jon will be involved in the Search Team. It's very similar to what he did during his years in the Night's Watch.
Horizon healing: He'll be available if needed, but not necessarily confident about his ability to help until he's actually done so.
Event discoveries: Jon and Galadriel found a sample of the sigil substance. While their plans up to this point were to have Elrond take a look at it if they were able to rescue him, any knowledge that it might be needed in Josselyn's house in Solvunn would push Jon in the direction of volunteering it. He also did some experiments with it and found that it causes advanced decay immediately when applied to a newly dead animal, and that some of the ingredients seem to be human blood and some herbal material that isn't available locally in Thorne. (Pretty sure that's the rotting flesh root.)
Knowledge and skills: Jon is an experienced outdoorsman, fighter, and zombie killer! Lots of survival techniques, comfortable in cold environments, etc. Has a sword, has fire powers, can turn into a wolf for a while every so often. Basically, the mountain search environment is almost uniquely tailored to his strengths, and he's also capable of leading a team and helping others survive, or advising on the environment without leading.
General plans: I would really like for him to fight threats, capture acolytes, maybe participate in interrogations, generally be extremely useful and helpful. (I was often uncertain of how to proceed with the first part of the event and how to connect with what I hoped to do, but it's a lot clearer and easier in this second part.) Super excited to have him punch things!
