Solvunn sometimes herbal teas are used to enhance someone's ability to receive messages from the gods, but forcibly establishing a connection in this manner is new and may even be heretical to Solvunn's traditions and the Council's beliefs. As far as she knows, Josselyn did not have a specific god she was attempting to reach. The Heralds were a rare appearance, but they have made their presence known in times of strife in the past by affecting the land with similar blights.

2. Unfortunately, Hydnellia is unable to provide much insight. She tells Ciri that the Summoned are special, and that what they experienced is beyond her ability to comprehend. She believes it must be a sign from the gods and that the gods are the only ones who could explain what they want.
