The whole situation is a bit mad, but there's something depressingly similar to being plucked from space, tossed in a uniform, and told that there's a war on. At least he knows how to blend into that sort of society. (And how to deal with sand in his boots. His hair. And every other blasted thing.)

Luke is a scenic space-himbo very helpful young man. He's unsettled by the sudden shift in how he perceives the force, but a world with a different flavour of force connection is not unheard of. Still, the best way to deal with his nerves is a mix of sparring, being useful (so much packing and sorting of supplies!), and occasionally a bit of quiet meditation.

After a few rounds of sparring or obstacle running, he heads off to the showers. (Novelty! Water showers, and in a desert, who'd have thought?) Should anyone stop by, he's clearly unbothered by barracks style living and has a rather motley collection of old and new scars.
