He doesn’t clock Jesper when he comes up behind the bar- he’s not looking for him. It doesn’t even really occur to him that the other boy could be here. They had been together when Wylan ended up here so why wouldn’t they have shown up together?

It’s not until he’s jumping over the bar and pulling Wylan up that he recognizes him, he recognizes the embrace and of course the voice. That soothing baritone that he could listen to for hours.

“Jes.” He breathes out wrapping his arms around the taller boy in return. He feels his whole body sag in relief being wrapped up in his embrace, and he ignores the pain in his ribs trying to pull him impossibly closer.
