That sounds a lot more thorough a description than her own, but to be fair, asking her about the Force might as well have been asking how magic works. Hearing that it's just energy that certain people can feel more strongly than others is almost a relief; she's far more used to things having a tangible explanation than a mystical one.

She offers a hand to one of the shyer-seeming kittens to sniff, smiling a little.

"So if this kitten can sense the Force, it would know I won't hurt it?"

It makes sense that they'd gather around an actual Jedi. As for Rey, she's always had an affinity for plants and animals, largely because she felt a certain kinship with anything else that was trying to survive on its own in the harsh conditions on Jakku.

She peers back up at Obi-Wan, returning to his earlier inquiry.

"What does my not knowing much about the Force have to do with seeking me out or not?"

It's a nice idea, but Rey would know if she could use the Force. Her life wouldn't have been a series of near-misses and unlikely survival if she could.
