There's another one called Nocwich where the werewolves and vampires live, supernatural creatures that turn into wolves or feast on blood, but they don't do any Summoning. They're fine."
There is the Feywilds too but no one has any idea about them, so he's not going to add it to the summary. This is going to be very general to start with, he only just arrived. Jesper puts an arm around him to keep him close, running fingers through his hair with his other hand, as if reminding him he's really there.
"It's not so bad here. The military's suspicious but they so far have left us alone. We can make our own businesses, rent places, mostly do what we want. Recently there was a war overture made where Thorne attacked and destroyed one of the cities here, Libertas. I suppose we're at a ceasefire again." For who knows how long, to be honest, but they do seem to have paused.
"There's the Singularity, it's this giant rock that also apparently is the central point of magic in the world. It likes us so it gave us this psychic world where we can create our own homes and do whatever we want with them. You'll see the Crow Club there, it feels very real. We've had some fucked up things happen where we relieved memories or had nightmares or got possessed by gods, so it's not entirely safe, but there's not much we can do."
Disturbing, yes, but it's Jesper so he's saying pretty much everything matter-of-factly. Because no matter what, he's just going to live through things. He's a survivor. He pushes through, adapts, still finds ways to smile and laugh. Nothing's been able to break him yet.
"Recently half of us Summoned were kidnapped by some cult here. Kaz and Inej included. They really messed with them, love, so they may not be the same when you see them. It only just happened." He's not saying they'll forever be changed, or maybe they will, but it's very raw right now.
