"I suppose 'monster' is being a matter of perspective, but yes— some of the wildlife here is quite colorful." A gentle word for it, perhaps; many of those creatures are absolutely things she would consider to be monsters rather than animals, but sometimes it is difficult to tell which side of the line some of those beasts actually fall on.
