There's two things that Wylan mentions that causes Hilda's face to light up. The first is hearing that there are others he knows in Abraxas. There is no doubt in her mind that having other people that you know from home being here made the adjustment easier, and she wasn't simply saying that because that had been her experience. But the other is that she actually does know the named someone he knows from home.

"Jesper! Oh, he's an absolute darling." A prickle of concern appears after a beat, remembering his outburst in Nocwich. They weren't close, but she worried all the same, reminding her that she should really check in with him once everyone was out of the hospital.

Wylan's appearance may not be a consolation, but she hopes that it brings him some level of comfort. Her eyes sparkle slightly as she scoots over beside Wylan, nudging him lightly with her shoulder. "Are you two close back home?"
