Surprise is probably a little evident on Wylan's face. Not because Jesper hasn't been gambling, that doesn't surprise Wylan, not after Jesper had told him he had been using his powers. What surprises him is that Kaz seems determined to keep Jesper from relapsing. The same Kaz who only a week or so ago, for Wylan, had Jesper playing against Corneilus Smeet and losing his pistols.

He looks at him silently for a few moments, weighing what he wants to say. "He told me, about the two of you."

Now he hopes that doesn't get him killed.
