OOC INFORMATION NAME: Marlowe CONTACT:marlovingian | Marlowe#2340 ABOUT YOU: I read constantly, major fandoms are The Untamed (and other Asian dramas, mostly China & Korea), Castlevania, Locked Tomb. Love horror, history, fantasy in general, especially when combined. Eternally trying to write a novel that's better than the last novels I wrote.
IC INFORMATION CHARACTER NAME: Lenore CANON: Castlevania (Netflix) SIGN: The Lovers FACTION: Thorne
CHARACTER INFORMATION: Lenore is a vampire diplomat who believes in negotiation and commerce and wants to build a better world. Her canonpoint is, uh, fairly tragic, so she's dealing with an enormous amount of grief and loss but she's also kind of excited about all the new opportunities and freedom she has here in Abraxas. Castlevania is a great show but it's brutal, basically the worst period of the European dark ages plus vampires and hellbeasts, so Lenore's got layers upon layers of trauma. Though she is genuinely sweet and wants the best for everyone, she has a very wide manipulative streak and leaves herself plenty of room for interpretation in how she fulfills her part of any bargain. CR YOU WANT: Lenore is still pretty new, having just arrived last round, so she is still settling in and trying to establish some more friends and allies. She's been brought in to Thorne and is very inclined to stay there, at least for the foreseeable future. Since she's a diplomat, she's very interested in making friends and allies in other factions and learning more about those factions towards a general goal of helping to foster peace between the factions. CR YOU DON'T WANT: I'm always hesitant of negative CR. I'm fine with CR that starts tentative or even hostile but with a goal of working toward a better understanding, but Lenore's will do her best to make nice with anyone she meets. PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Politics between factions - Lenore wants to know big picture stuff but she's also very interested in the personal details, and she'll be asking most new acquaintances why they have chosen whatever faction they're in. Thorne Intrigue - Lenore is right at home in a fantasy medieval-esque royal court, so she's very interested in scoping out the cliques and lines of power within Thorne, especially the castle, and figuring out how to build her own influence and status. Magic / History / Research - Lenore's intrigued by the local magic system which is definitely a lot easier of a learning curve than her world has, so she's looking to pick up skills in that. She's also interested in the underlying why of Abraxas, so she's going to be digging in as far as she can to the history and natural philosophy, though her interest is more philosophical (who built this system, what were their motivations) rather than academic (how does it work, what can be done with it). Fashion - She's dying here without her wardrobe and jewelry, so she's actively on the lookout for a job, money, and picking up levels in the magic that creates and modifies outfits.
