[ well, yeah - vash ends up taking a large sip of the mead after the warning, and steve does a lot of the same. because while the hangovers might be killer, the drinks taste great and it's not going to slow him down at all. part of it is the fact that steve is just young, he'll bounce back, and while he is in a good mood right now - there is certainly way too much he could start thinking about if things are quiet for a little too long.

and steve can tell the other is curious, that he wants to hear about whatever other story steve might mean, and there's just a second where steve tenses. should he tell him about the shit they've all been through? what is probably waiting for them around the next corner? would steve have wanted to be warned his first couple of days here?

but then, a moment later, that tension fades. no, no he's not getting into this. not during a wedding. steve shakes his head, pushing out a laugh for the sake of it. ] Nah, man. It's actually kind of boring? Unless you like farming, which- I mean, it could be more interesting if you are, but for the rest of us there just...isn't a lot going on.
