[ If Lindhardt had decided to pursue his line of questioning, she probably would have met it with a quizzical look. Compliments were easy for her because they fell in line with flattery which she sometimes handed out like candy if the mood suited or the situation called for it. That isn't to give the impression that she did it solely for personal gain (she did sometimes, but it wasn't consistent or as often as she did when she had been growing up). Rather, she just wanted others to feel confident and good about themselves - even if they were people like Lindhardt who didn't have much of an ego to begin with.

It had taken some time for her to understand that and admittedly thought him a little rude at first. Exploring the Abyss together had certainly helped change that perception of him however, and frankly, had given her more insight to the sleepy scholar than she would have otherwise what with being in separate houses. His lack of social cues is endearing in a lot of ways, especially when it had been paired up against Caspar's over bridled enthusiasm. The only appropriate response she can give in reply to news that he had carried Lindhardt out of the battlefield is a small smile.

Her own hands wrap around the warm porcelain like it will somehow bring her some comfort from whatever truths he has to tell her. Her body shifts in her seat at the mention of Dimitri, trying to steel herself and her feelings for the blonde princeling that she had been fond of during their Academy years. Hearing he's dead is not news; his name had been amongst the list she had seen. But the plains made no sense to her and her brow furrows along with the name Serios. One thing at a time though. ]

Just out of curiosity - what was the date when you left?

[ It's unlike her to be concerned with dates, but for some reason this feels out of place in the timeline of events she had been aware of between her and Claude's timeline versus Sylvain's. ]

And what do you mean Serios? Like the saint?
