Kelson did understand their thought process. That at least wasn't an act. It was actually the kind of magic he'd be more used to using himself, if given a choice. Maybe thats why he ended up here, why he was Summoned?

Idly, Kelson wondered if hearing the words in her head through mind speech would help her vocalize them. He yearned to try, to ask her if they could experiment. But not here. Until he knew more about the abilities of the natives here, he didn't exactly want to flaunt his own.

So he changed the subject.

"I have no doubt you will find a way. Would you like to take a walk? I think I could use some fresh air. Perhaps you can tell me a little bit about the gardens and the water features outside that I passed earlier. Are they magical too?" Take the hint.
