They're still moving, Blake taking them away from the square where the majority of the night dwellers gather. He doesn't know who this guy— who Wrench happens to be, but he was in the right place at the right time to save Blake's ass, so he's going to stick close until he's sure neither of them will face recrimination.

He takes the papers, fussing at the soft edges as he reads the unfamiliar scrawl. It's better writing than his — part of the reason he goes for writing the way he does — so he has no problem looking between the other man and the question on the paper, shrugging pointedly. "Like hell if I know," he says, and as they come up on an Inn, still open with at least one vacancy, he attempts to tell this man he'll buy the drinks by miming himself taking a big swig. "On me?" He asks, then draws a few dollar signs, showing them off and pointed to himself.
