[ Rey will retain her memories from the first time she was in Abraxas, just trying her out in a fresh locale :) Also may be moving her canon point a little further down the road but haven't decided for sure on that yet so I'll keep things vague. ]
i. The Barracks
[ This is certainly very different from the accommodations in Thorne. It reminded her in many ways of the Resistance camp, which is in some ways comforting. In other ways, like being able to hear the person in the bunk next to her snoring loud enough to wake the dead, it was not.
Rey ends up walking outside in the night, sitting down and looking out over the desert. It's warmer than a Jakku night usually was, but not by much. ]
The sky looks so different here...
ii. Libertas
[ The freedom to strike out on her own is a strange thing, but something Rey takes advantage of. There's no family to wait for here, and after Thorne and everything with Kylo Ren she's happy to be able to opt out of military service. She makes a use for herself where she can and the first chance she gets, she travels to Libertas.
Because the last time she had seen it, it had been a vision of it burning.
She stands awkwardly in front of the memorial, flowers that she's procured from a nearby florist held in her hand as she reads the names, noting each one. It isn't her fault, but she still feels the burden of this destruction, because she had been in that castle with that woman when she'd decided to do something unspeakable.
Placing the flowers on the memorial she presses her hand against the stone. ]
I'm sorry.
iii. Nocwich
[ Rey's happy to visit Nocwich, having enjoyed her last few visits here. She had procured a few trinkets that had decorated her rooms in Thorne that she was sad to no longer possess, so she wanders the market, looking to replace those items.
If she sees a familiar face she is only too happy to say hello, feeling like she's been away for a long time. ]
