Uh-oh. That's the sentiment passing through Finn's mind right before that shoulder connects to his chest. Maybe if he still had a connection to the Force, he would have seen it coming. As it is, he was in a totally different fighting mode than Wrench, apparently.

But much like Wrench, he's aware that being on the ground is not the place to be. Not unless he brings a friend with him.

He takes the hit full force, a quiet 'oof' leaving his lungs, but his hands grab on to either side of Wrench and gets a grip wherever he can. Using that momentum again, he pulls them both down, twisting and hoping he's the one that ends up on top. After all, making moves like this aren't the best when he's already winded.
