[ There's an easy enough grin at Linhardt's reaction given it's more or less exactly the kind of thing he'd hoped to provoke, and with no regrets. It's also a relief, in some ways, to find that no matter what time might end up being between them both - aside from the obvious surface level amounts - he hadn't incorrectly predicted it'd entertain the other man.

But all of that can wait for a bit, especially as Linhardt mentions Hilda has already given him some details. That's helpful considering it narrows down the scope (somewhat) of what he can likely leave out when it comes to explanations, and then also that no one's mentioned the Horizon yet is another clue. Claude hums and tries to think of a better answer to that than what he'd offered Sylvain and Petra some many months ago. ]

I did, in regards to the war. I take it you didn't? [ The obvious possibility here is that Linhardt comes from the same timeline that Petra did, the thought of which causes a small flash of sorrow to go through him considering Petra would have loved to see him here. Nothing to do about that now, though. ] Anyway, I'll get to that in a minute because I think the Horizon is something you'll be even more interested in.

[ He's going to enjoy this, Claude decides, if only for the reaction as he sits up slightly from where he'd slipped further between the water and puts on a very serious expression. Only some of that is for entertainment's sake, since he knows how this is going to sound even if it is the truth with room for the questions he's sure will follow. ]

I don't know where you arrived - we can also cover that after this - but the Singularity is a giant rock formation that's the cause of a lot of upset around here for different reasons. We have a connection to it, allegedly, and part of that gives us some... added things we can do that the locals can't. The Horizon is one of them. You have to get someone to take you into it the first time, but it's basically some other plane we can get into to meet with the other Summoned across Abraxas and you can do whatever you want, including creating things. [ A smile then, somewhere on the rueful side. ] Sylvain's created Garreg Mach. It looks like it did back when we were students rather than what we'd know it as today.
