[ It's been a little while since Claude's been to Libertas, but on a whim today he decides to make the trip through the portal. There's shops and stalls to visit, something which he does each time he's here and makes a point of doing, but he decides that can wait a little bit. He hasn't been back here, now that he thinks about it as he approaches the park, for a couple of months since the gala. It'll be good to see it in daylight again and to take a tour of everything that's been built.

The memorial is the first thing he stops by; despite the weather being on the warm side there's a pleasant breeze moving through now and then. It helps him become lost in thought - mostly - while studying the sculpture to take in how it's changed from all the additions. But he's always paying at least a little attention to his surroundings even unconsciously, and so when someone speaks Claude turns with a half-smile. ]

I do. Libertas was attacked by Thorne about a year ago and suffered great losses. Parts of the city had to be rebuilt and it took a long time. If I remember the rebuilding process correctly, this park was created to have an open space here instead.

[ Now he turns around fully, memorial set aside for a moment as he considers her then holds out a hand for a handshake with a wider smile should she be amenable to it. ]
