[ It's not often that Hilda hears Lindhardt get so charged about well, anything and it's immediately noticeable. Anger required far more energy than either of them were willing to expend. What he was describing however, made perfect sense as to why he was getting as worked up as he was about it. She tried to put as much distance between the church and its people - its people being Setheth and Flayn mostly - because she knew who they were as people, so she assumed that would also mean their actions would reflect that. At least she thought they would.

What Lindhardt was describing didn't sound like the Setheth she knew. Absently, she worries her lower lip. Was this more of her naivety showing? Or had things been hidden that well that it had just leant to her ignorance is bliss mentality?

In the short time that she'd been sitting here with Lindhardt she had already learned more about the realities of their war than she'd had in the eight months that she had been here with Claude. The thought weighs heavy on her shoulders and she shifts uncomfortably in her seat. The smile she gives him is a wry one. ]

But I appreciate you telling me about Setheth, Flayn and Rhea, Lindhardt. I'm not sure I would have found out otherwise. 

[ And then there's a fond laugh, a far more lighthearted one than before, both at the question about cheese and his avoidance of people. ]

Of course you have. I can't say for certain in Thorne - you'll have to ask some of the other Summoned there. All I know is that they're pretty wary of newcomers, but I don't think that's unique to any of the settlements. If you run across Kyle or Natasha while you're at the castle, they'll probably be more than happy to fill you in. They're friends of ours.

They probably can track us. There was something that happened a couple of months ago that required the Free Cities to track people using New Magic. If they are tracking us outside of that, they probably won't admit as much. I don't think anything I do is particularly interesting or important enough to track though.
