sleepfan: (Stupid Unamused)

That is disappointing news.

[It is difficult to disappear in small groups, and whenever a group is small enough that everyone knows each other, deviations from one's usual behavior are noticed. Linhardt makes a mental note to establish habits of changing his habits every so often - if he's too understandable, he might be approachable. Which might distract him from working on what he wants to work on.]

I would still rather know, however, so thank you. I am not certain: When I arrived in Thorne, High Mage Ambrose looked exhausted. So I tended to checking my condition and dismissed the mage settling me in as soon as possible. They are all clearly overworked and since I am capable of orienting myself, I did not see a reason to waste their time.

[He had, in his own way, been trying to be polite and courteous. Linhardt understands what it is like to have too much responsibility and not enough energy. He wonders when the last time Ambrose slept for 8 hours is. Thorne has not offended him personally; his natural instinct is empathy.]

I cannot think I would be in Thorne if they only saw the Summoned as weapons. Or they have incomplete or incorrect information on me and the rest of the Summoned.

[Linhardt is not the person from Adrestia they want if they wanted magical destruction. Dorothea would be the best option - Hubert enjoys destruction but he'd be too focused on Edelgard - even here. Dorothea is very pragmatic. And her ranged magic surpasses Linhardt's.]

Yes. Professor Byleth sided with Edelgard - I am unsurprised to hear that she decided otherwise in different Fodlans. Her position - or his - is not enviable. I am amazed she can trust anyone. I wouldn't in her position.

[Rhea had clearly been hiding something and was oddly obsessed with Byleth. On the other hand, Edelgard was working with people who murdered Byleth's father. Linhardt had been surprised when she'd reappeared: He thought she'd come to her senses and left Fodlan entirely.]

At least you turned your work in.

[Linhardt had not.]

It's not surprising. There have to be certain key physical aspects of the world that are the same between our home worlds and Abraxas. We're all more similar than different.
