[ It's a near thing, but Finn manages to not choke on his own drink. When he swallows it down, though, his smile is undeniable even if his laugh is quiet.

It's not really funny, James' reaction to that last piece of information. Finn recognizes it for the red flag that it is. Doesn't change that he really just skipped over everything else to light up on that one. Blatant, neon red flag... Okay, it is kind of funny.

And he can't really fault him, anyway. Finn can think of several times where he wished he could do that, too.

But things get a whole lot less funny with that follow-up question. It does cross his mind to lie, but he just shrugs because he knows the pause kinda gave himself away. ]

Like I said, it gets complicated. Just because someone can see something doesn't mean they can use it. And there are a lot of people like that back home.
