[ There's a tinge of sympathy for Linhardt having to deal with Hubert's... opinions. Claude remembers the comments well from the Academy days, ones he'd cheerfully rolled with purely for the purpose of annoying Hubert (and generally succeeding), but that's not near the level of what Linhardt would've had to deal with. It occurs to him - again - he could use this opportunity to ask what it was in precise terms Hubert knew about the Agarthans prior to his death and that letter meant to steer them towards Shambhala.

Well. It certainly seems they'll have a lot to chat about in the future, that's for sure. ]

Petra was here for longer and took quite a few jobs hunting monster bounties. The requestors we worked with - they remembered her. They didn't seem surprised when I told them she wasn't here anymore since it's far from the first time that's happened. There's Summoned in Cadens who've been here for almost two years now since I remember them telling me they'd been here for a year when I arrived last summer.

[ That answer's offered after a bit of solid consideration on Claude's part. No one's been able to explain to him what exactly happens when someone disappears - besides the so very clear indicators they simply aren't here any longer. ]

If I had to offer my best guess, it'd be that you - generally speaking for all Summoned as the 'you' here - tend to be more memorable the more you do and the longer you stick around wherever you're pulled through and whether you're known outside of that would depend.

[ This particular difficulty in information passing between nations' borders bothers Claude far less than the others; to say he trusts the other two governments - or even the one where he is - would be a stretch. No need to tempt fate with getting noticed by more than they had while in the Feywilds.

The implications of those timelines are more interesting to focus on, anyway, and yet again Claude shifts his mind to those with ease. ]

I know of a handful of Summoned I believe come from the same world, though the circumstances for each seem to be different. It's called Earth - something also far more modern than Fodlan. [ A second where he thinks of Julie's patient explanations to him not long after he'd arrived, to Steve's world and how it'd also had a world altering war, to where Kyle calls home. The same place, but as Linhardt says: very much not the same in what was lived. ] From what we've talked about while here, it seems the biggest chance in what each of us remembers from Fodlan depends on which house Teach chooses to lead. Hilda and I remember him being our professor with the Golden Deer, and Sylvain remembers her being his with the Lions, and then you remember her for the Eagles. That seems to be the main difference for events starting with school and the war, but like you said, if there was something so critical that occurred then surely our memories would differ even further.
