It's time for activity check! Activity requirements are outlined below. If you have any additional questions, you can reach out to us on the FAQ.

You'll be required to submit a minimum of two threads with a brief summary of what each thread entails. While there's no minimum comment count for linked threads, please note the following:

• Interactivity with other players and overall engagement is important. We haven't implemented a minimum comment count since we understand threads might be started late in the month or are slow for reasons of conflicting availability. That said, we are not a check-in AC game. Submitted threads should demonstrate a level of interaction with the game, its plot, and the wider playerbase. If we notice a pattern of responding to threads only after the AC post has gone up, making threads solely to fulfill AC requirements, or frequently dropped threads (especially after AC is approved), we will have an individual discussion with the player in question.


• TDM threads, network threads, and inbox threads are acceptable as proofs for AC, but should not make up the total of both proofs (i.e. your two thread proofs submitted for AC cannot consist only of inbox threads). At least one proof should be a log thread - both proofs cannot be network-style comment spam.


• Backdated threads from the previous month are acceptable, so long as the comments linked take place during the current AC month and the thread has not been used for a previous AC or for AC rewards. Backdated threads that were started at the end of the previous month are especially fine. If we notice a consistent pattern of backdated threads started at the beginning of the previous month with very sparse comments or regularly dropped threads, then we may have an individual discussion with the player in question.


• Link individual threads rather than entire logs or top levels if you plan on using any additional threads in those logs or top levels to purchase bonus Activity Rewards (see below). This will help us keep keep track which thread has already been submitted where.


• All players are expected to reply, including if they've submitted a hiatus. Failing to post to AC before closure will count as idling out. If you think you'll be unable to post during this time period or extenuating circumstances prevented you from posting please contact the mods.

Thread 1 Link + Summary: Istredd and Nero are dramatic public assholes at each other.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Istredd and Clive talk at the mingle and he helps him into the Horizon.
Power or physical gain: Based on his canon update, because it's hilarious, he will be able to change the length of his hair and beard at will and the texture of it too. As he practices this gift with time he will be able to style it automatically to his preference and make it look particularly luxurious.

Notable actions: Istredd was on the front lines of the monster fighting, usually leaning on defensive magic and helping get civilians out of the way/doing some healing. He did some fighting when necessary. He went out early with Stephen to Whitehall Village. He handed out glasses Lucifer helped make for people to be able to see the Hellhounds. He along with Jill, Kell, and Bay helped update the Thorne officials on the monsters updated on Dean's post/told to the Summoned. He recruited Thancred and Stephen to ask their contacts (Jolene and Ambrose) if they could trace anything magically with the rifts. He threw the new Thorne Summoned mingle as per usual.

Power or physical gain: In sticking with the rabbit theme, a version of camouflage. Jesper can alter his appearance to mimic his surroundings, temporarily becoming invisible. He has to stay absolutely still and he can't do it out in the open market or in a tavern, it has to be specifically against a wall or in the desert or somewhere with an environment easy to disappear into. In the start, he can only hold it for a minute but with time, practice, and mastery it would be up to 20 minutes. He can't use it on anyone else, it's a solo power.
Notable actions: Jesper went around shooting things during the monster attacks and went to the mining area at one point to protect the people there. He helped Cal get people out of a landslide in there using his powers. He otherwise just ran around embracing the violence. He was one of the welcoming committee that set up the Free Cities mingle.

Her Own Law

Any surface Abby touches can, for her, become 'down.' Letting her stand on walls and ceilings without really caring about the gravity of these actions. Within reason. Anything (not people or animals) Abby can lift can be pulled into this with her, but will lose this trait if Abby stops holding them (so bouncing a basketball on the wall is tricky gravity will take over). The surface also needs to be able to hold her weight, if she stands on a flimsy surface it'll just break and gravity resumes as normal.

The effect breaks after she's disconnected from the surface for a few seconds (she can walk or jump on a wall just fine), or if she willingly lets go of the effect.

Notable actions: Abby fought some monsters and skulked around areas of the Free Cities. Abby killed the Rancor, which basically makes her a Jedi Master right?

A Piece of History

Psychometry. Bay can touch an object and experience a memory housed inside it. The memory is always going to be something emotionally charged, something deep and meaningful to the people within the memory. And an object can only hold one memory (but through re-experiencing it might see more details, or stay in the memory longer with practice.

Objects owned by individuals will always have a memory of theirs, something the person felt while that object was in their person, something they'd think of when they were to look at that object.

Public objects will just hold whatever the most powerful memory is in that place, which will mean either something very dark or very happy with basically no middle ground.

Bay will, with practice, learn how to not experience memories from handling objects, but at first she'll just feel a strong desire not to touch things that have a memory in them. Memories are fully sensory experiences and will often involve experiencing the same feelings as the person in the memory which means most will leave her exhausted after.

Notable actions: Bay helped maintain information on the monsters, their locations, and what they look like in the Roadhouse on the Horizon. And drew the monsters for Thorne's forces to know what they were dealing with.

Notable actions: As shown in the network post from AC, Adora had a vision about the Grand Worm and Ciri. And she was fighting her ass off!! She-Ra never took a break.

Notable actions: Claire was essentially a traveling doctor during this event, trying to get to people who may have been caught unaware and injured, or Summond who were fighting and got hurt.
Power or physical gain: New power gain - the same as being able to send messages, when Claire thinks of a person she'll know where they are within a 350-foot radius (helped me to visualize the size of about 2 full football pitches, lol). Not handy when she can't get to the person, and she can't fight even if she could go, but she can better help if something like the disappearances happens again.

Notable actions: Went investigating the Dukewood Lumber Mills for Sergeant Ward. He found the rift and warned the workers/officials there, but when he returned to the rift to confront the beast he was very badly wounded.

Power or physical gain: As Finn being unable to secure weapons this past event was a huge annoyance for him, he's going to have the ability to summon weapons with a few stipulations. He can only summon what already exists in the real world, he'll have no control over what type of weapon he's able to summon, and it'll go back to its previous place after only a few minutes. With time, he'll be able to control what he can summon and the duration he can keep it. My hope is to eventually get him to a point where he can create weapons from nothing for a short period of time, much like Skyrim's Bound Weapons spells.

Notable actions: Two things. First, Finn would have asked someone official-looking at the Cadens' barracks where he could help out most with the beasts. While not part of the military, he would have tried to work with them or any other local officials. Second, Geralt gave Finn the idea to look into blacksmithing for work. Since the NPC Cyprian seems like the sort, Finn would have sought him out for apprenticeship or any other work he could provide before the event began.

Thread 1 Link + Summary: Hilda is chased by Finn and a Rancor through the Horizon. It's a Time.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Hilda and Sylvain share some information about the Demonic Beasts with Himeka

Power or physical gain: After her encounter with the Demogorgon, I'd like for Hilda to take on a lesser version of Fear. It would be uncontrolled and triggered by intense, negative emotions (e.g. anger, fear, hurt). Instead of projecting someone's fear onto someone, this would manifest as the person or persons she's speaking to briefly see a distorted vision of a Demogorgon head on her shoulders. At some point down the line she can hopefully learn to control it.

Notable actions: Hilda's low-key apprenticeship was made known as she helped craft and spell weapons of the pointy stick variety for the Summoned and any local defence forces. Hilda spent time in Formahault with Alucard collecting rift data for Viktor, offering her assistance in repairing and keeping those in charge of anything that might need immediate attention, and leading the Thunderjaw away from the walled city. She was also involved in fighting the dragon, and briefly assisted getting some of the miners to safety before helping to fight the Grand Worm.

Power or physical gain: Building off of the Hungry Bones, Geralt can absorb monster blood and gain a small amount of toxicity from it, which in turn will temporarily grant him one (modest) trait from the monster (i.e. if it has corrosive blood, he will, too). This only applies to beasties, he can't absorb powers from other characters.

Initially, it'll need to bleed into an open wound and enter his bloodstream directly, but eventually I'd like him to be able to absorb it through his skin. He can't control what he gets, it'll just kind of happen.

Notable actions: Geralt fell down a mineshaft, was chucked off a morbol into some lady's arms, and investigated the hell hounds in the barracks. he was kind of in a lot of places tracking monsters and rifts. He's also killing the Thunderjaw with Steve and the Hellhounds with Dean.

Power or physical gain: Bestial Shield. Okay so like. Hear me out. A temporary shield manifests on its own, no control of Lucifer, during combat. Likely not very durable.

But the shield is made up out of parts depending on a creature he "bonds" with. Eventually, maybe, it changes out (could be via AC Rewards/Gain Change) if he connects with another monster, but at the moment it's the myriapod's carapace due to him absorbing/connecting with it via the Devil's arcana.

So basically a shield that looks monstrous but not very sturdy and likely disappears relatively fast.

Notable Actions: (Annoyingly) aided in "enchanting" glasses for Thorne to go against the hellhounds. Aided in taking down the myriapod with Istredd and Yennefer, though he had succumbed to the beast for most of the fight.

Power or physical gain: Horizon gain: Find Familiar. Catra will be able to summon a familiar in the form of a bird native her to home of Etheria; it will act independently of her but obey her commands, they can communicate telepathically within 100 feet, but it can't attack anybody.

Notable actions: Due to going up against multiple beasts in the event and losing every time (or rather, successfully driving them off but failing to kill them, which Catra would regard as the only win scenario), her self-esteem and her issues around success have gotten even worse temporarily. Congrats, Catra!

Notable actions: Viktor approached the Academy to offer his assistance in studying the rifts. He improved their device for more accurate data collection, then, with some help from friendly escorts, did some in-person analysis of his own. In an effort to consolidate research from across the factions, he addressed the network to detail these plans and requested that other Summoned undertake similar initiatives in Solvunn and Thorne.

Thread 1 Link + Summary: Jaskier helping out a newbie Cal with very invaluable advice.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Jill, Jaskier and Clive fighting off the Morbol in Jaskier's domain.
Power or physical gain: Event reward. Stemming off themes that came up in the Morbol thread, and as an extension as his bird and illusionary powers, Jaskier will be able to become a phoenix. The phoenix is an illusion that surrounds him when he is in his bird transformation, with the very real image and sounds of crackling flames around him. However, because of his very real fear of fire magic, it will not be able to hurt, and the flames are not real (though they will create light). It's similar to how birds will puff up when threatened!
Notable actions: Though Jaskier did not really do much fighting himself, he was there to witness the fight between Steve/Geralt/the Thunderjaw, and he also was attacked by the pooka, one of the worms, the dragon, the Faust, and the dokkaebi! Yeah, he's monster bait.

Character Name: Nero
Thread 1 Link + Summary: Nero may have gotten into a big public network fight with Istredd over Lorelei and Esmond.
Thread 2 Link + Summary: Because of that fight, Wanda and Nero make plans to go visit the siblings.
Power or physical gain: Event reward. Nero will be able to transform into a dragon resembling the demonic beast (minus the mask), but with four limbs, a curved spine, and the tail he normally has in human form. He can also make miniature versions of his own wings. However, he will only be the size of a forearm. It does not give him any extra power, and per the laws of wild magic and Funny, it will only be controlled by his emotions at first.
Notable actions: On top of killing the demonic beast (and possibly ripping its mask off and returning to Solvunn with it to prove to the natives that gods can die), he was involved in fighting the Faust (which he resonated Arcanas with, and went a little Feral over), the Nichevo'ya with Steve (who is sharing the victory with Nero), fought off the prehistoric hippo with Ivar's wolf-sheep (mentioned off-screen here, and will be fighting the Night Creature with the SPN angels (thread incoming). He also threw his arm into a rift and was destroyed by it rebounding.

Notable actions: Claude fought a few monsters around the Free Cities' locations this month, including a Faust, a Demonic Beast, a Rancor, and a dragon (some of these still pending). He also assisted wherever he could including helping civilians at different locations, delivering supplies, and generally staying on the move to provide as much help as he could.

Power or physical gain: Playing off his March 23rd gain his exploration during the event, the heartrending ability he has been practicing with since then to be upgrade this to be able to cause unconsciousness to an intend target. As before once per day as before to be raised as he practices or with future gains.
Notable actions: Kaz spent much of the event utilizing the portals to get to areas they don't often have access too. He may have been seen taking notes and even charting some of the lands. He also used much of his new abilities to at least keep monsters at bay for others.

Power or physical gain: For John's FIRST power gain, I'd like for John to be able to summon a sword. It's similar to that of his fencing rapier/military spadroon but a little more decorative because it is MAGIC. Also because it is magic it has a slight light glowing effect. John can summon the sword when: alarmed, surprised, or threatened, and it will take some practice to be able to do so on command (and also not just awkwardly have a sword in his hand when startled). Because it is magic, it is not a permanent weapon for him to just carry around in a hilt and its presence depends on his emotional state. He will not be able to summon it whenever he WANTS a weapon, he'll only have it when he NEEDS it. (Which will also be inconvenient, at times.)
Notable actions: (I was sick and THEN I got COVID a few weeks later and so I am late to plotting/tagging into this event) John will be fighting off some monsters around Thorne for this event, including the Hungry Bones with Jon Snow!

(just in case, I included an extra one, sorry these weren't as involved as I hoped to get them so far)

Power or physical gain: Considering Sylvain already has "Weapon Bond" with his spear and he has extensive training with his lance from home, I'd like to give him a Dragoon ability from XIV as his power gain this time (since they're lance-weilders specialized in dragon fighting). I'm thinking something like the Dragonsong Dive, at least for the appearance of a powerful dive attack maybe? something that imbues his spear with his fire magic, but also comes with the dragon illusion as part of the attack. Considering the old god event gave him an ability similar to Dissonant Whispers and Vicious Mockery, the illusion could also inspire fear or doubt or confusion or some type of negative psionic attack along with the physical dive attack. Or that could come with time/practice/mastering his ability or basically levelling up his control over that magic. I don't mind starting it out as something that happens accidentally or uncontrollably/sporadically until he figures out how to do it. Maybe it even shows up as his killing blow against this dragon, or as a result of slaying the dragon with his Bonded Weapon?

Notable actions: Sylvain volunteered along with many others to help patrol various portals throughout the event, all over the Free Cities. He participated in fending off several monster attacks, including the Morbol, hellhounds, and the thunderjaw, as well as being the one who struck the killing blow on the dragon.

Power or physical gain: Horizon arrival gain request - Sanctuary - a spell which prevents attacks or hostile magic from targeting someone, but is broken if anybody being protected attacks. Basically a very simple 'take a moment to think about shit without being skewered' spell.

Linhardt just got here and he is learning all the things. He's been studying healing with Elrond, agreed to learn about protection sigils with Wanda, and he's meeting with Viktor to discuss getting his hands on some technology.

For the event, Linhardt has been helping with the healing efforts in Thorne - he's a damn good healer and he has no problem working for strangers. In addition, he's been assisting with evacuations and defense - including in Nott after being introduced to Lyle by Rhy. He also assisted the citizens of Whitehall with preserving their flowers as well as brought that situation to Elrond's attention, who is better at healing the natural world than Linhardt.

On the other hand, he also went nuts when the Demonic Beast showed up. After this, he is completely mortified and takes full responsibility and immediately starts trying to help anyone that was hurt by his actions.

He's also made some efforts to get close to the rifts and record data on them - if asked he's open about what he's doing and would share the information with the authorities from Thorne.
