Another Hylian? Link regards the other man with the same amount of surprise - that it to say, mildly, and with some scrutiny. Link isn't the suspicious or doubting type, however. He honestly hadn't given much thought to how strange it might be to meet another from Hyrule in this place... it seems just as reasonable as anything else that has happened to him thus far, his life back home included.
He looks up as Nero leans down to inspect him, not the least bit cowed by the other man's height - rather, Link gives him a brief nod of greeting, which most who knew him back in Hyrule would already know to take as a, 'Well, thank you. And you?'
... what Link says instead is, "Do I know you?"
It's an earnest question. Link is so used to running across people who remember him from 100 years ago, or at least had heard legend of him - and he with no memory of them. Not many of them were relatively young-looking Hylians, but even that could have an explanation, he knew.
