Link's mouth opens, and then closes again. He's never met a Hyrulean who did not recognize the Calamity by that name, even though for some younger Hylians it was simply an old tale to explain a castle in ruins and a once-thriving kingdom in shambles. Link's memories of Ganon's assault on Hyrule are just a patchwork of disjointed recollections, but from what has come back to him... 'one-sided massacre' is an apt enough descriptor.
'Practically endangered'... also accurate, though he'd never thought to put it in those terms before. It is deeply unsettling.
Link isn't sure he wants to hear what kind of terms Nero uses to describe the hero who failed them. Here he'd thought the older Zora were unforgiving.
"I was asleep for a long time," Link explains - as if that illuminates anything - his voice a little too even in tone, his expression too calm. His fingers curl into fists, itching to grip onto the hilt of his sword and swing until they ache. His sword was taken from him, however. Suddenly, Link feels its absence like a missing limb.
Belatedly, it occurs to him to ask: "Who are the Intoners?"
