Alina's lips quirk up a touch. While not said aloud, it feels like an agreement or a promise. A pact to worth together sealed in survival instinct alone. It's not easy to have hope in a place like this. If fate or luck wasn't going to get her out of prison, at least skill and pure stubborn will both step in.
And then the smile is gone, not because she's upset, just because this is business now.
"Not much," she admits. "I've been imprisoned since I arrived. They call themselves the Kingdom of Thorne. They've gathered people from..." Alina pauses, not sure if she's even able to explain it, "It seems like they've gathered people from even different worlds."
She lets out a puff of air, shaking her head as if she still can't believe it. It feels like a tear in reality when she reflects on it too long.
"They use magic," Alina is especially careful and quiet now. Something unknown colors the edges of her voice, almost like mourning, "And... anyone in the cells that had power, they took that away."
