Trevor would have been happy to stay behind and slowly sort through the Belmont Hold, maybe helped with repairs on the Castle but the Speaker wanted him to assist her. Was he wrong to have gone? Alucard never put up a fight to stop them from leaving... It's just not fair to blame whatever this was, on the Belmont.
