"Carnivore. It means that you crave meat." That way of putting it seems pretty unpleasant, considering recent events, but it's the best way to distinguish carnivores and herbivores. He's pretty sure Legoshi craves meat, even if he's never eaten it (except... well, Louis' leg, but he can't hold that against him).

He supposes there's credit due for asking (Legoshi certainly doesn't), but it takes Louis a while to warm up to people, especially people with such sharp teeth. "You'll forgive me if I don't want to get too close to someone who might eat meat."
